Approved content for Category A includes technical, research, analytical, design, laws, regulations, computer hardware, software topics, standards of practice/care, PE ethics, project management, risk assessment/management, emergency disaster management. 18 credits must be related to Category A.
Approved content for Category B must focus on business or government administration, or development of traits, skills, or behavior as applied to engineering.
I have extra Maryland engineer PDHs, do they carry over?
Yes, the Maryland State Board for Professional Engineers allows a maximum of 12 PDH credits to be carried into the next renewal period.
Who stores my engineering continuing education records?
Technically each engineer is responsible for keeping track and submitting their own certificates, BUT WE STORE ALL CERTIFICATES INDEFINITELY and they can always be accessed for free. PDH completion records must be maintained for a minimum of 4 years.
